The Office of Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas announced Cook County property owners will have an extra month to pay their first installment property taxes this year, and the bills already are available online. Monday, April 3, is the new due date. The treasurer’s office will mail bills in late February or early March, but bills are available right now at cookcountytreasurer.com for payment or viewing.

SAINT IGNATIUS NEWS
Two months after 16 Saint Ignatius College Prep junior varsity hockey players were injured when a semi ran into their bus, the team returned to the ice beginning Jan. 15, with numerous first responders who helped them after the accident in attendance. Three of the injured players are out for the season but have returned to school and are expected to rejoin the team next year. The team won 5-0 over Marmion Academy, and will make up some of its postponed games throughout the season. Home games are at the Fifth Third Arena in the West Loop.
